Vancouver Car Shows Events Calendar

Metro Vancouver and the Fraser Valley host a wide range of car shows and automotive events throughout the year. From major international exhibitions to community celebrations and local gatherings, the region offers something for both dedicated car enthusiasts and casual visitors.

The calendar below highlights some of the most notable car shows and automotive events in Vancouver and the Lower Mainland. Organized by month, the list provides a helpful overview of when and where many of the region’s most popular automotive events take place. Our list also has information about a couple of non-car-related events, including ones about motorcycles and boats (both of which happen early in the year, in colder months, when most collectible vehicles are still parked in their garages, hibernating for the winter).

The following calendar of events also has community festivals that feature a car show element, including Fort Langley May Days, ScotFestBC, and the Tsawwassen Sun Festival.  It also includes a couple of non-car, yet still motorized vehicle events: the Vancouver Motorcycle Show and Vancouver International Boat Show

January

The automotive event calendar begins early in the year with major exhibitions dedicated not to cars, but to motorcycles and powersports vehicles.

Vancouver Motorcycle & Powersport Show

This major exhibition dedicated to motorcycles, ATVs, and other powersports vehicles takes place in January at the Tradex Centre in Abbotsford. In 2026, it ran from January 16th to 18th. The Vancouver Motorcycle Show isn’t a “car show”, obviously. It is, however, a motor vehicle show, which is why we include it here.

Over three days, major manufacturers and dealers showcase the latest motorcycle models, riding gear, and accessories, while visitors explore exhibitor displays, product launches, and interactive features. Show hours generally extend from late morning into the evening, and tickets in 2026 started at around $22 for adults.

More information about the motorcycle show can be found on the VancouversBestPlaces.com website.

February

February is another slow month for car shows. The Vancouver International Boat Show, however, usually happens around this time of year.

Vancouver International Boat Show

The boat show is the event you’ll want to attend if you like boating, have a boat or want to get one. It’s also a great event for learning about boats, buying marine equipment, and dreaming about one day owning a boat of some kind, whether it be a luxury yacht or a dinghy.

In 2026 the Vancouver International Boat Show took place between January 14th and 18th. The year before it took place between January 29th and February 2nd. 2027 dates and details are to be confirmed, but it will likely happen around the same time next year.

The boat show always takes place at two different venues. Iin the past it has happened at both BC Place Stadium and Granville Island, with indoor displays and presentations at one of the locations and outdoor displays at the other. In 2026, instead of BC Place, the indoor location was the Vancouver Convention Centre. Again, where exactly it’ll happen in 2027, is to be confirmed.

April

Spring brings the start of the classic car season, with vintage vehicles returning to the roads and early gatherings taking place across the Lower Mainland.

Vancouver Easter Vintage Car Rally

The Vancouver Easter Vintage Car Rally is a classic car gathering organized by the Vancouver Chapter of the Vintage Car Club Canada. The event typically takes place on Easter Sunday each spring, which in 2026 falls on April 5th. Details for this event are usually confirmed closer to the date, and as of the last time we checked the organizer said it may or may not be happening in 2026.

At this event, in years when it happens, participants gather in the morning before heading out on a relaxed, parade-style drive-through of Metro Vancouver.

Years ago the event used to start in the parking lot outside the Museum of Vancouver and HR MacMillan Space Centre. Then for a few years it started at Trev Deeley Motorcycles on Boundary Road. Last year, however, the cars met at the all-weather field in Burnaby, before heading out on a scenic cruise to Steveston Village, concluding with a public car display in the fishing village.

As of early March 2026, exact details about this year’s event were to be confirmed.
