Langley’s Heritage Classic Car Show

The Heritage Classic Car Show features an impressive display of collectible British vehicles and motorcycles at Langley’s Douglas Park in August. The event is a celebration of British motoring history.

Hosted by the Canadian XK Jaguar Register and Canadian Classic MG Club, the annual event features an impressive display of vintage vehicles, including Jaguars, MGs, Land Rovers, motorcycles, and other classic British automobiles.

Taking place at Douglas Park in the heart of Downtown Langley, the car attracts vehicle owners, collectors, enthusiasts, and spectators from across Western Canada.

The Heritage Classic is part of a larger weekend of activities that includes social events, awards presentations, scenic drives, and gatherings for registered participants.

In 2026 the Heritage Classic Car Show takes place on August 21st to 23rd. On the Friday there is a welcome reception for participants at Jaguar Land Rover Langley. On the Saturday the cars are on display at Douglas Park for the public to admire. Sunday is when cars meet again at Jaguar Land Rover Langley before heading out on a drive around the Fraser Valley.

(Note: The Saturday event takes place on the same day as Fork & Finger, which is a food-themed event in Downtown Langley, just a few blocks away.)

Classic British Vehicles on Display

The public car show takes place at Douglas Park, located at 20550 Douglas Crescent in Langley. Visitors can view dozens of beautifully maintained and restored vehicles while enjoying a relaxed outdoor atmosphere in one of the city’s most popular parks.

The main vehicle display is open to the public on the Saturday from 10:00 am until 3:30 pm. Admission for spectators is free, making it an excellent outing for families, automotive enthusiasts, and anyone interested in classic vehicles.

The Heritage Classic showcases a wide variety of British-built vehicles from different eras. Attendees can expect to see everything from elegant Jaguars and sporty MG roadsters to Land Rovers, vintage motorcycles, and other rare British marques.

Many of the vehicles have been painstakingly restored and maintained, giving visitors a chance to admire automotive craftsmanship from decades past. Some entries compete in formal judging classes, while others participate in display categories where visitors help determine award winners through public voting.

The event is widely regarded as one of the best opportunities in the Lower Mainland to see such a large collection of British automobiles gathered in one location. Other events include the St. George’s British Car Show in Fort Langley in April and the All British Field Meet at VanDusen Garden in May, the latter of which features hundreds of British vehicles.

Vehicle Judging and Awards

A highlight of the Heritage Classic Car Show is the vehicle judging program. Jaguar entries compete in sanctioned concours classes, while display vehicles participate in Entrants’ Choice competitions.

Awards are presented in a variety of categories and recognize excellence in restoration, presentation, preservation, and overall vehicle quality. Additional honours may include special sponsor awards, long-distance travel awards, and youth judging recognition.

The awards ceremony takes place on the show field during the afternoon on the Saturday.

More Than Just a Car Show

In addition to the vehicle displays, the Heritage Classic offers a variety of activities for the car participants throughout the weekend.

Registered car-owner entrants can enjoy social gatherings, including a welcome reception, afternoon tea served on the show field, and an evening dinner event. The weekend concludes with a scenic Fraser Valley driving tour and a classic-themed gathering featuring vintage-inspired fun and community camaraderie.

These additional activities help make the Heritage Classic much more than a single-day car show, turning it into a full automotive weekend experience for the car owners.
