All British Field Meet Car Show

The All British Field Meet (ABFM) is one of Vancouver’s most iconic classic car gatherings. It takes place each year in the lush grounds of VanDusen Botanical Garden. Held on the Saturday of the Victoria Day Long Weekend, the event draws car enthusiasts, families, and visitors from across the region, province and entire country. It’s a full day of heritage vehicles and entertainment.

In 2026 the ABFM returns on Saturday, May 16th, with hundreds of British cars on display. The event celebrates its 41st anniversary this year – a milestone that speaks to its enduring popularity and place in Vancouver’s automotive calendar.

Vancouver’s All British Field Meet at VanDusen Garden

As an event showcasing only British-made vehicles, the All British Field Meet is the largest event of its kind in Western Canada, and one of the largest in North America.

The All British Field Meet typically features more than 450 vintage and modern British vehicles. At the event, visitors can admire everything from antique Rolls-Royces and pre-war motorcycles to newer models by Jaguar, Aston Martin, and Land Rover. Classic sports cars, meticulously restored motorbikes, and contemporary luxury vehicles are all part of the display.

The ABFM also carries the atmosphere of a festival. Food trucks, vendor exhibits, live seminars and entertainment add to the experience. Special features such as the Carriage Trade Tea House offer guests the chance to enjoy traditional high tea.

With more than 60 marques represented and thousands of visitors, the show stands out as an impressive celebration of British car culture.

What to Expect

The All British Field Meet is a long-standing Vancouver tradition. Now more than forty years old, the car show brings together collectors, enthusiasts, and families for a relaxed day in a beautiful garden setting. Visitors can view rare and classic British vehicles up close, enjoy on-site food trucks and music, and explore the event at their own pace.

With its blend of polished automobiles and spring blooms, the show appeals to more than just dedicated car fans. Families, photographers, and anyone who enjoys open-air, festival-style events will find the ABFM a memorable way to spend the Saturday of the May Long Weekend. Garden enthusiasts love it too.

The All British Field Meet remains one of the most picturesque automotive gatherings in Western Canada.

ABFM Schedule

At the time of writing, the ABFM has released a tentative schedule for 2026, listed below. However, exact details are to be confirmed.

From 11:00 am to 12:00 pm, the Little Mountain Brass Band performs live, followed by the first high tea seating at Carriage Trade Teahouse from 11:45 am to 1:00 pm. The Definitely Not The Beatles Tribute Band then plays from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm, while the second and third high tea seatings at Carriage Trade Teahouse run from 2:30 pm to 4:00 pm.

Special Highlights

Each season, the All British Field Meet features special themes and spotlighted brands. The 2025 event, for example, celebrated the 121st anniversary of Rolls-Royce, with some of the world’s rarest and most historic models on display. Previous years have celebrated iconic British marques such as Sunbeam Tiger, Triumph, MG sports cars, and Aston Martin.

The ABFM also includes a motorcycle presence. Last year, the West Coast British Motorcycle Owners Club commemorated its 40th anniversary with a dedicated display. These rotating highlights ensure that each year feels distinct and well worth revisiting.

While the vehicles remain the main attraction, the All British Field Meet offers plenty to enjoy throughout the day. Guests can listen to live music, attend short seminars on British motoring history, and browse vendor booths featuring parts, memorabilia, and collectables. There are also cars for sale on site.

For more information about the ABFM and the organization behind it, see the Western Driver website.

Roads Unknown Driving Event

The ABFM weekend also includes a Sunday driving experience known as the All-Brit Run, or Roads Unknown. This scenic drive typically features up to 50 or so participating vehicles. The event is primarily for the car owners, but the general public can admire the vehicles, at least at the start, for no charge.

In recent years, the route for the car rally has begun at a KMS Tools location. From there the cars travel 100 kilometres or so before concluding at a designated lunch location for an afternoon gathering. Past starting points have been in Coquitlam and Langley. Destinations in previous years have included Whistler, Harrison Hot Springs and Mission.

Registration for the All Brit Run is required each year for the car owners, and the Sunday event fills quickly. The car rally serves as a natural extension of the main ABFM show on the Saturday at VanDusen Garden. The All-Brit Run offers car owners a relaxed opportunity to enjoy their cars on the open road for an additional day.
